More About DSC Qolsys IQ Pro

If you're looking for an all-in-one hybrid alarm system, look no further than the new IQ Pro. A combination of the DSC's hardwired capabilities, and the Qolsys' IQ Panel wireless and user interface, the IQ Pro promises to provide a reliable user-friendly security experience. All IQ Pro systems come with numerous features out of the box. By default, you'll have a hardwired main board, capable of handling 8 wired zones without expansion. You'll have wireless capability for up to 2 wireless frequencies with the primary wireless card being PowerG. When programming the IQ Pro, you will do so, using the IQ Installer Interface App which revolutionizes commercial-grade security system programming by exponentially speeding up the process compared to the standard programming methods. On top of that, the IQ Pro comes with an Alarm.com dual-path cellular and IP communicator, along with a Z-wave card for connecting Z-wave devices and automating them via the Alarm.com automation service. Both cabinet options, plastic and metal, come with room to expand the wired system components and space for a backup battery.

The IQ Pro is expandable up to 128 zones, either wired or wireless. All IQ Pro systems include a PowerG wireless card, but for those that need to include legacy wireless sensors secondary SRF cards can be added. Additional wireless card options include the: 319.5MHz frequency for Qolsys S-line and Legacy Interlogix sensors, The 345MHz wireless card for Legacy Honeywell sensors and 2GIG wireless sensors, and the 433MHz wireless card for Legacy DSC wireless sensors. For keypads, the IQ Pro is able to use both DSC and Qolsys keypads including both the DSC HS2TCHPN wired touchscreen, and the Qolsys IQ Remote wireless touchscreen keypad in addition to standard DSC HS2 button-style keypads. For hardwired additions, the HSM2108 zone expander can be used to add 8 additional hardwired zones per expander. If you need a large amount of powered devices with the IQ Pro the available power of the system can be expanded using either HSM2204 or HSM2300 Power Supply modules. The IQ Pro includes 4 PGM outputs on the main board as well. These 4 PGMs can be used for a multitude of purposes, but the most notable would be powering smoke detectors as well as adding wired strobes or other annunciating devices that require low power. The amount of PGMs available to the system can be expanded using HSM2204 Power Supplies which includes high current outputs, and HSM2208 Low Current output expanders for additional low current PGMs.

As mentioned, the IQ Pro includes an Alarm.com communicator allowing you to use Alarm.com's Interactive services and wireless signal-forwarding capabilities. The IQ Pro can utilize cellular (Verizon or ATT), Ethernet, as well as Wifi connections, giving you 3 different ways the panel will communicate. While connected to Alarm.com you'll be able to remotely access the system using the Alarm.com app to arm and disarm the system, receive notifications about events, and even automate Z-wave devices. The Z-wave card in the IQ Pro is able to handle up to 137 Z-wave devices just like the IQ Panel systems, and provides the same interface on the system when using the IQ Remote keypads. Z-wave devices when automated with Alarm.com are able to interact with the alarm system, giving you options like unlocking your front door when you remotely disarm the system or shutting down your incoming water supply when arming away. In addition to this Alarm.com allows you to incorporate cameras with their service, which opens up even more integration possibilities for the IQ Pro.
