More About Alarm.com Video Plans
As mentioned above Alarm.com Video plans come in 3 different plan levels. The lowest-level Pro Video plan offers up to 1000 saved video clips per month for manual and event-triggered recordings. The Pro Video plan does not cover motion-triggered recordings, so if you would like to receive clips based on captured motion, you will need the Pro Video With Analytics or Premium Video plans.
The Pro Video With Analytics plan provides you with up to 3000 clips per month and gives you the ability to set up Alarm.com's video analytics for each of their cameras. Video analytics is a per-camera feature that allows you to accurately determine what and where the camera will watch and trigger a recorded clip. You may set trip-wire and area-based capture rules through your camera's viewing area which allows you to focus the camera's attention. In addition, video analytics can discern what the cameras are capturing each clip whether it be people, cars, animals, or something it does not recognize. Each clip will be tagged with an outline of what the camera captured so you can easily find priority clips from the thumbnails. The Pro Video With Analytics plan also allows you to utilize Onboard 24/7 recording with up to 2 cameras on your account.
Premium Video, the highest Alarm.com Video Plan features everything the previous 2 plans do, but in addition, you can utilize Onboard recording with all compatible cameras attached to your account. Be advised, that not all Alarm.com cameras support an SD card. On our site, the cameras that do support them will mention it on the product page for the camera. Onboard recording is a feature that allows you to plug in an SD card to your Alarm.com camera and it will record 24/7 while saving the footage to the SD card. We offer different-sized surveillance-grade SD cards to fit your needs, as the larger the space in the SD card, the more you can have recorded at any given time. Keep in mind that if you choose to record video to an SD card, the footage is only viewable while the SD card is in the Alarm.com camera. All footage recorded this way is encrypted so that it cannot be removed and viewed elsewhere.
Alarm.com doorbell cameras can be used with any Alarm.com video plan, however, they will take up 1 camera slot. If you just wish to use a single Alarm.com camera, you may choose the Alarm.com doorbell add-on as long as you have an existing Alarm.com Interactive service account. The same provider MUST provide the Interactive service and Doorbell service. We cannot add a doorbell to another provider's interactive plan. Alarm.com also offers additional video solutions such as CSVRs which provide you with 24/7 recorded video. Alarm.com CSVRs are able to utilize both Alarm.com PoE hardwired cameras, as well as Wifi cameras. Each CSVR you wish to use on your account will require the SVR Add-on service. In addition to CSVRs, there are also Alarm.com camera accessories that can be used with your Alarm.com cameras to improve your camera's internet connection or usability.
