What happens if my power goes out? Will this still send signal?
This WIFI unit will stay powered up during a power outage because it draws power from the main panel and the main panel has a backup battery. This is good because it means the unit will not go down because lack of AC. On the other hand, it will not be able to send signal unless you have the router plugged into some sort of backup power supply. We recommend getting one of these if this is going to be your only form of communication for the alarm system. - Back To Top
