Does the DSC WS4920HE take up a zone?

The WS4920HE does need to be programmed into one of the zones on the alarm system. You’ll use zone type 26 which is the 24-hour non-alarm zone type. With that you will see an open zone if there’s an issue. It’s recommended you also use the force arm zone attribute so that you can arm the system while the repeater zone is showing open. To do this you’ll go to the zone attributes for that zone: 1XX where XX is the two digit zone number. Then option 5.
