The HS2TCHP works great for programming. When going into installer programming with it you will have a virtual keypad on the screen that resembles the LCD style keypad. So most of the programming will be on par with that. However, the real programming advantage for the touchscreen keypad is in the custom label programming. Zone labels can be done in a fraction of the time thanks to the on-screen keyboard as opposed to the alphanumeric and word bank label entering found on with the LCD style keypads.
