Alarm.com ADC-V515 1080p Indoor Wi-Fi Camera

Alarm.com's ADC-V515 video camera is a budget-minded version of the V523 model. While it is a bit more affordable, it's still a very high-quality surveillance camera. It features a great field of view, HDR (high dynamic range), HD video quality, IR for night vision, two-way audio, and video analytics for motion detection.

The key differences between it and the V523 are that this model has a little smaller image sensor that affects the field of view and image specifications a bit. The V515 WiFi is also limited to the 2.4 GHz band, whereas the V523 also has the 5Ghz band.

The ADC-V515 is a great product if you're looking for a video camera to put inside your home that can be connected wirelessly to your internet. While this camera doesn't require an ethernet cable connection, it still requires a power cable to be plugged into power. Once it has power and is connected to the internet, you can add the device to your video service plan from Alarm.com to be used with the app or customer portal.

This fixed camera records everything in 1080p high definition quality, uses infrared and high dynamic range so it can capture video in any lighting environment, and has a large 110-degree field of view. It has the capability of using two-way audio, meaning not only does it have a microphone for recording audio but also a built-in speaker so you can talk through it using the Alarm.com app. And with Alarm.com's video analytics service package, this camera can not only be set up to detect motion, but you can also set virtual "trip-wires" so that it records clips during the specific notice of movement. The video analytics also change how the camera views motion as a whole by looking for human-shaped objects rather than just detecting any motion like a curtain moving in the wind.

The ADC-V515 also supports continuous local recording, meaning it can be set up with either smart view for onboard recording to an SD card (not included) or be used in conjunction with Alarm.com's stream video recorder so you can capture video 24/7. Keep in mind the stream video recording does require additional equipment such as the Alarm.com SVR series recorders.

The Onboard Recording feature of this camera requires an SD card, the recommended cards can be found here: Surveillance-grade Micro SD cards

IMPORTANT: While this camera can be used with any Alarm.com video service package, to gain the full extent of its features and motion detection capability, you must use the Pro Video with video analytics package.
