Alarm.com ADC-CSVR2016P 16 channel - 16 PoE Port Commercial Stream Video Recorder

The ADC-CSVR2016P is the "largest" of the Alarm.com SVRs offering a full set of 16 PoE ports for wired cameras, and offering both 6TB and 12TB hard drive options. The Alarm.com SVRs, or Stream Video Recorders, offer a local storage option for 24/7 video coverage using your Alarm.com cameras. Alarm.com's SVRs are capable of integrating both wired and WiFi cameras from alarm.com, though the 2016P is designed for an all-wired setup. The 2016P offers 16 total channels for cameras and includes 16 onboard ports for Hardwired Alarm.com Cameras. If you plan to use WiFi cameras with your SVR setup, not all WiFi Alarm.com cameras are compatible so check the datasheet linked below. Alarm.com Video Doorbells, however, do not work with the Alarm.com SVRs.

Setting up an SVR on Alarm.com is similar to enrolling a new camera, and once you have your cameras set up on the SVR they will begin recording 24/7. Cameras set up on an SVR can be viewed either through the Alarm.com app or locally on a monitor or TV. Setting up local view is as simple as connecting your monitors or TVs to the 2 HSMI ports. Local viewing can be interacted with via a keyboard and mouse if needed. Cameras connected to an SVR can still operate their natural recording rules, showing clips taken on your video timeline so you can locate specific clips you may be alerted to. Setting up cameras for your SVR is a relatively simple process, but you will need to use the Alarm.com web portal to attach the cameras to the SVR properly. The SVR will record all video from connected cameras until it hits the limit of hard drive storage, and at that point, it will begin writing over the oldest footage with the current recording. Specific clips can still be saved and stored for longer periods if necessary.

When deciding what cameras you want and if you would like to use an SVR, keep in mind the SVR itself will require the SVR Streaming 24/7 service add-on. Each SVR attached to your account will require this service, so if you need 3 SVRs, you'll need 3 SVR service add-ons. You also need to ensure you have the proper video services to cover the amount of cameras you have. Since Alarm.com covers cameras in sets of 4, you will need a base Alarm.com Video Service Plan. For each set of 4 cameras beyond the first, you will also need the 4-Camera Expansion service. The base Video Service plan you choose will determine the available features of your cameras. For example, if you choose the Pro Video With Analytics Package, all of your cameras will include the video analytics feature for motion capture.
