Honeywell Ademco 4219 Zone Expander

The 4219 is a wired zone expander that allows you to add 8 wired zones. This allows you to add more hardwire zones to your system without having to change out your panel for one that will handle more zones. You can add multiple 4219s to a system to save you money and give you more protective ability when it comes to your Ademco series panel.

IMPORTANT: This product does not come with 2k resistors.

  • Since this expander connects to the same 4 terminals that a keypad connects to on the main control board, could you connect a keypad off the 4 terminals at the relay? For instance, my situation is that a bunch of zones for a second partition got wired to a different location than my main panel. Could I run a 4-conductor wire from the main panel to the zone expander on the other side of the property and then connect both the line to the main control board and the nearby keypad to the 4 main terminals (Blk,Red,Grn,Yel) at the expander?

    Yes. CORBUS devices are wired in parallel, so you can connect a keypad to any set of CORBUS terminals provided they are connected to the main system as well. The only thing you need to worry about is the wire length and gauge if you are running them to another area. Use the chart on page *2-5* of the Vista system installer manual to see what gauge wire to use.
