The ADC-VC838PF is a hardwired, Power-over-Ethernet Alarm.com camera equipped with a motorized varifocal lens, giving you greater installation flexibility. Designed for commercial use it is also capable of utilizing Alarm.com's business analytics which can be useful for object detection and business activity tracking. The VC838PF is also IP66-rated for waterproofing, and dust-tight seals allowing for both indoor and outdoor use, so it can be placed anywhere you may need a PoE camera. Once placed in your preferred location, you can then remotely operate the motorized varifocal lens to widen or narrow the view of the camera allowing you to focus the camera on the most important position it needs to cover. This can be adjusted on the fly if needed as well. With a 4MP lens capable of WDR or HDR you'll be able to finely adjust the viewing area of your camera while keeping everything in focus. Resolution of the VC838PF ranges from 2560x1520 down to 640x360 is desired which can also be adjusted remotely through the Alarm.com app.

When paired with standard Alarm.com Video Analytics, you'll be able to set priority motion recording areas and tripwires of the camera's viewing area via the Alarm.com portal. The VC838PF includes an IR range of 95ft allowing the camera to pick up motion and capture quality footage even in the dark. You're also able to adjust the times that the camera is actively watching for motion in case you want this feature off for any reason. Suppose you are using the camera in a business setting. In that case, you can take advantage of either the Commercial Video Service or the Business Analytics Add-on for a standard Video Account to activate additional features. These additional features include: Occupancy Counting, People Counting, Heat Mapping, Crowd Gathering, and Queue Monitoring  The VC838PF is compatible with both SVRs (Stream Video Recorders) as well as Onboard Recording when a compatible SD card is inserted. Both the SVR and Onboard Recording features require the appropriate levels of Alarm.com Video Service, so be sure your video plan covers what you plan to do with the camera/s.
